Join us and learn about WORCA trail network by exploring some of their mountain bike trails with WORCA Board Member Val Chan. About our facilitator:
Meet Val, WORCA’s Director of Advocacy
Val studied Sport Management, PE Teaching and Sport Science at home in Australia. A thirst for adventure and the outdoors lead her to Whistler where she discovered mountain biking after a trip in 2012. 7 years later, after having gained her PMBI, she joined our guides team in the summer of 2019. Val’s experience began as a coach working for the local trail organization WORCA, where she had the opportunity to lead kids and ladies camps. From her time with WORCA Val has developed a great respect for the trails and our local biking community while becoming a passionate ambassador of the sport. In her own words, ‘I love my job because I get to combine my passion for teaching and mountain bikes. I love being able to introduce and encourage people while sharing the amazing trail network Whistler has to offer
