What we do

Whistler Immigrant Settlement Services (IRCC funded settlement services delivered by Capilano University and Sea to Sky Community Services) and the Whistler Multicultural Network work in partnership through the Welcome Centre at the Whistler Public Library to deliver settlement services to newcomers.

Settlement services are here to inform and support you with your life in Canada. Below are just a few of the topics that we can help you with. Please contact your local Welcome Centre to learn more about our services and how we can help you.

Support with:

  • Applying for MSP and other Health Insurance in BC
  • Renewing your Permanent Resident Card
  • Registering your children at school
  • Finding English Classes in the Sea to Sky area
  • Driving in Canada

Information about:

  • Living in Whistler and British Columbia
  • Money and Taxes in Canada
  • Assessing your credentials from your home country
  • Social Benefits like E.I., Child Benefit, Childcare Subsidy
