Pemberton Global Gardeners

Who Are the Pemberton Global Gardeners?

In 2014 the Global Gardeners was established and a plot at the Pemberton Multicultural Network Pemberton Creek Community Garden was purchased through the Pemberton Stewardship Society. The purpose of the garden was to provide immigrants with the opportunity to get more education and skills in a positive and non-discriminatory environment.

The PMN gardening group is run by volunteers and has become very successful with participation on the rise. Monthly workshops on healthy eating and food preparation are offered throughout the year. The volunteers feel a sense of pride and ownership to be helping other people in the community. The garden has become a gathering place for individuals and families. We hope that you will enjoy this space as much as we have.

Our thanks to the Pemberton Music Festival Community Fund who awarded us funds to reconstruct the garden plot and purchase canning/preserving resources. Const

ruction will begin in early spring 2017.
