  • mask painting: the children painted their own Japanese or Mexican mask
  • made koinoburi… a Japanese koi (carp) shaped wind streamer
  • decorated our own piñatas, and made mini piñatas
  • had a go at Australian aboriginal dot painting
  • played multicultural games including fukuwarai
  • had multicultural storytelling: Kamishibai from Japan, Czech folk stories, stories in Spanish from Bolivia
  • prepared for Canada’s 150th by making our own maple leaf and Canadian animal puppet
  • got hand-painted henna tattoos
  • learned about First Nations culture
