New to Whistler? Do you want to…

  • meet and connect with other people?
  • find out what to do when you first arrive? where to go and how to do it?
  • practice communicating in English?

This program is especially for new seasonal workers arriving in Whistler. If you are arriving on a working holiday (International Experience) visa and would like to get up to speed and make some connections, join this FREE 4-week program. Get set up for a great winter, and meet new friends.


Practical information, what you need to know to get you set up in Whistler, such as getting a BC driving licence, Medical Services Plan, Social Insurance Number.

Weeks 2, 3 & 4

Informal  ESL classes.  Learn words you may need for your job, learn Canadian slang. Get some help to make those connections and meet people from other cultures.
