WHISTLER WELCOME CENTRE supports permanent residents, caregivers, new Canadians, refugees, temporary foreign workers and other newcomers living and working in Whistler.

- Information about life in Canada
- Social and cultural activities and events
- Free English language support
- Opportunities to meet other immigrants and make new friends
Welcome Centre services and programs are free of charge to eligible clients.
Our Settlement Worker can help with:
- Access to government and local services
- Understanding documents and application forms
- Canadian immigration and citizenship processes
- Heath and healthcare information
- Social Benefits – like Employment Insurance and Child Tax Benefit
- Employment information
- Banking, Finances and the Tax System in Canada
- Local Community Services and family programs
- Information sessions and speaker series on many different topics (e.g. nutrition, tax, winter driving)
- ESL practice groups and one-to-one tutoring
- Workplace skills, preparation and training
- Support for reading, writing, listening, speaking and communication skills
- Immigrant Peer Educator Program
- Workshops and training
