Welcome Centre activities schedule
Join our Coffee Morning drop-in at the Welcome Centre at the Library for a coffee and a chat!
Make new friends and contacts and enjoy activities such as crafts, games, and discussions of important and interesting topics with our special guests. Last week Miki Nakano taught us all how to crochet. Thank you Miki for sharing your hobby with us!
Here is what we have planned to do this summer:
May 30 at 10:30am: Our monthly speaker will be Libby McKeever from WPL who talk about early literacy and language.
June 6 at 11am: Special guest Gerry Kasten, Public Health Dietitian and Community Nutritionist for the Sea to Sky Corridor, will be happy to answer your questions about healthy diets and nutrition.
June 20 at 11am: Special guest Elly Van Alfen from the Whistler Quilt Guild will share her passion of making quilting.
June 27 at 10:30am: Our monthly speaker will be Libby McKeever from WPL and topic is “Ages and Stages – Books for Babies and Preschoolers”.
July 4 at 11am: Special guest Laurie Low, Infant Development Program Consultant of SSCS, will talk about the Infant Development Program.
August 15 at 10.30am: Our monthly speaker Libby McKeever and we will talk about young children and technology.

If you have a hobby or can do crafts and want to share it with people also contact Lana and we will be happy to add you to our summer schedule.
