Every Friday morning, join us at the Welcome Centre for this FREE weekly, casual meet up, where we provide workshops, cultural sharing activities and information about living in Canada. You can drop-in to see our Settlement Worker, or just have a chat and coffee.

Date & Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Fridays

January 3 rd No Welcome Centre Friday as we are closed for the holidays.

January 10th Kids Yoga with Ikuyo, bring some water and wear comfortable clothes.

January 17th Making playdoh. All supplies provided, bring a tub to take your playdoh home with you.

January 24th Celebrate Chinese New Year. We will be decorating the library and making Chinese crafts.

January 31st Family Literacy week. Come and get some information on family reading and writing. Get some fun worksheets and activities

English language groups for eligible clients run from September to June. Register at the Welcome Centre to check your eligibility and best options.

Monday Conversation Circle: morning (10 – 11.30 am) in the Community Room at the Whistler Public Library.

Wednesday Conversation Circle: Wednesday evening (6 – 7.30pm) at Tamwood International language school.

General English group – Monday evenings (7 – 8.30pm) at the Whistler Public Library.

January 23rd Parenting in Another Culture: First of 2 sessions learning about the basics of post-secondary education. For more information  Parenting In Another Culture: Post-Secondary Options in Canada

January 29th Healthy Eating on a Budget Workshop. This is the first of 6 workshops. Kids welcome. We will learn many aspects of nutrition, cook and eat a meal. For more information Healthy eating on a budget workshop

January 29th Parenting in Another Culture: The second session learning about the basics of post-secondary education. This session will focus on the terms and vocabulary used. For more information Parenting In Another Culture: Post-Secondary Options in Canada
