Every Friday morning, join us at the Welcome Centre for this FREE weekly, casual meet up, where we provide workshops, cultural sharing activities and information about living in Canada. You can drop-in to see our Settlement Worker, or just have a chat and coffee.

November 1st No activity. Come and join us for a coffee

November 8th PAC workshop. This week we have an information session with Jennifer Fitsgerald, helping your children develop writing skills.

November 15th Bath Bombs. Come and learn how to make bath bombs.

November 22nd No activity. Come and join us for a coffee.

November 29th Kids Yoga. Come and join us for a kids yoga session. Bring some comfortable clothes and a bottle of water.

English language groups for eligible clients run from September to June. Register at the Welcome Centre to check your eligibility and best options.

Monday Conversation Circle: morning (10 – 11.30 am) in the Community Room at the Whistler Public Library. No group on Monday November 11 for Remembrance Day.

Wednesday Conversation Circle: Wednesday evening (6 – 7.30pm) at Tamwood International language school. Every Wednesday this month.

General English group – Monday evenings (7 – 8.30pm) at the Whistler Public Library. No group on Monday November 11, for Remembrance Day.

Immigrant Peer Educator Program – continues every Tuesday morning

Getting Started for Newcomers to Whistler – every Tuesday in November we welcome new seasonal workers in town to meet, connect with others, and get some practical information about living in Whistler. 4-5.30 in the library. Come to 1 or all sessions. Register info@welcomewhistler.com

Japanese calligraphy workshop – on November 5, join Yuko to learn the basics of Japanese calligraphy.

Employer workshop on how to support and build culturally diverse teams – on November 6, the Welcome Centre is partnering with Whistler Immigration to deliver a workshop for employers wishing to learn more about the importance of supporting employees through the settlement and immigration processes.

Macrame Workshop – on November 13th, create a plant hanger out of string, it’s easy to learn as you only need to know a few types of knots. Places limited so please register info@welcomewhistler.com

Mexican Multicultural Kitchen. November 27th. $10 per person. You will learn how to cook the traditional Mexican dish. “chiles en Nogada” from the City Puebla Mexico. Get tickets here
